Intraoral Camera

The DEXIS DEXcam is our number one tool for incorporating you into your treatment plan. With this small intraoral camera, we capture in-depth images of your smile and then transfer them instantly onto a screen that’s right at your chairside. When you can see precisely what’s going on with your smile, you become an active participant in your care. Dr. Thanh prefers the DEXIS DEXcam for its ease of use and the crystal-clear images it produces.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays capture high-quality images of your smile without exposing you to unnecessary levels of radiation. In fact, digital imagery reduces your exposure by as much as 85%. That reduction can be especially important for young children, as radiation builds up in the body over time. Digital X-rays are also ready immediately, greatly reducing the time you spend in the chair. Dr. Thanh’s office uses the Dexis Platinum system of digital X-rays.

Soft Tissue Laser

The Picasso Lite Plus allows us to treat pockets in the gum tissue caused by periodontal disease with extreme precision and comfort. The soft tissue laser enables us to remove and reshape diseased tissue without using scalpels or stitches. Plus, the laser promotes healing as it works.

The Wand

Many people fear the dentist because they are nervous about getting an injection when they need local anesthesia. With the Wand, we can remove the anxiety surrounding dental work. It’s Painless Computer Assisted Anesthesia that delivers anesthesia slowly for increased comfort. With the Wand, we greatly improve your overall experience.

Cavity Detection System

The earlier we can detect cavities, the better. With Diagnodent technology, Dr. Thanh intercepts small spots of tooth decay in the earliest stages — often before they even turn into cavities. With remineralization and improved dental hygiene at home, early detection can help to prevent the need for a filling altogether.

CBCT/3D Imaging

Our CBCT is the next step in the evolution of dental X-rays. Rather than taking a single image, the device captures several from various angles, creating a 3D map of your dental anatomy. It can establish a baseline at your initial visit, highlight imbalances in the bite, and show us the health of the underlying bone ahead of dental implant placement. It gives us so much information that we can use it to personalize any procedure to make it as comfortable and effective as possible.

PRF

PRF stands for platelet-rich fibrin, which is a substance made by taking a small sample of a patient’s blood and spinning it in a centrifuge. This causes the liquid plasma (which is mostly water) to separate from the various healing factors, leaving us with something that is much more concentrated than regular blood. It can be applied to surgical sites following tooth extractions or dental implant placement to speed up healing and reduce post-treatment discomfort, allowing patients to enjoy their results much faster than before.
