How often should I see my dentist?
Dr. Kelly Thanh agrees with the American Dental Association: patients of all ages should visit their dentist at least twice a year or every 6 months. This is often enough that a dental cleaning will be able to clear away built-up plaque and bacteria, and it will also allow Dr. Thanh the chance to catch any small dental issues you have early.
I have chipped/cracked/broken teeth. What can I do?
We have a variety of restorative treatments that can fix this exact issue! We can replace a single tooth with a crown or a row of missing teeth with a bridge. We can even fix a multitude of flaws using porcelain veneers. Restoring damaged smiles is one of our practice’s specialties.
Can you replace my missing teeth?
Yes! We have a few ways we can do this. We can restore a few missing teeth using a dental bridge or a large amount of teeth with a set of dentures. However, if you want a more permanent solution, we can also give you dental implants. They restore more of your teeth than these other procedures and are the most reliable solution available.
I hate how my teeth look, can you help me?
We make smiles look more beautiful every day using our cosmetic treatments. We can brighten your teeth in just an hour using teeth-whitening, and even replace old metal fillings with tooth-colored fillings. We can fix small chips and cracks with direct bonding and even give you a complete smile makeover with porcelain veneers.
My gums bleed whenever I brush and floss. Is this normal?
This could be a sign that you are brushing and flossing too hard. Try to ease up a bit, and if that doesn’t help, be sure to contact us soon. Gums that bleed consistently is a very common sign of gum disease, and the sooner you treat it, the easier it will be.
Can I bring my child to your practice?
Yes you can! We’re a true family practice and can help children as young as 12 months. We’ll always treat your child with a gentle touch and make sure they are relaxed and happy their entire time with us. It’s never too early to start taking care of their teeth, so don’t wait to schedule their first appointment!
I just knocked out a tooth! What should I do?!
You should call us immediately. We provide emergency dental services and will make every effort to see you as soon as possible. Before you come in, be sure to find your tooth, pick it up by the crown only, and try to place it back into your mouth. If you can’t, put it in a container of milk or saltwater. Use a cold compress to help manage the pain and reduce swelling.
